Meet Our Providers:

Alisha M. Wilkes, board-certified FNP grew up in the medical field, observing and working alongside her father, Dr. Willie L. McArthur, who was a family medicine doctor in Fayette, MS. Nurse Wilkes earned her bachelor's degree in biology and pre-medicine in 2006, her bachelor's degree in nursing in 2007, and a master's degree in nursing education in 2013.  Nurse Wilkes pursued to become a nurse practitioner during a medical internship at the University of Chicago, and she returned to school in 2015 to earn her post-master’s degree in family nurse practitioner.

Among her many accomplishments, Nurse Wilkes is a proud Alcornite, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. The Jackson Free Press named her Best Nurse Practitioner (2017-2019) and she was named SKY Clinical Research’s
Sub-Investigator of the year in 2022.  She also had an amazing opportunity as an adjunct nursing instructor at Holmes Community College, which she enjoyed giving back in that capacity.

Opening SKY Integrative Medical Center allows Nurse Wilkes to broaden her capabilities and she strives to provide quality and efficient care to all patients while also assisting in the advancement of medical interventions. The interpersonal relationships she develops and the care she provides to her patients make it all worthwhile.

Nurse Wilkes adores her job and being the best mom to two beautiful girls and a wife to the most supportive husband.  It’s the most rewarding job she’s ever had, and she wouldn't have it any other way.

Christina Farmer is a board-certified FNP. She started her nursing career in 2002 when she received her diploma from Louisiana Technical College-Tallulah as a Practical Nurse. She graduated with honors from Alcorn State University with an associate degree in nursing in 2007. After relocating to Metairie Louisiana, she decided to advance her studies further by graduating with her BSN in 2019. Christina’s passion for nursing and helping others led her to continue her education and pursue her lifelong goal of being a Nurse practitioner by graduating from Loyola University New Orleans in 2022.

Nurse Farmer’s exposure to the medical profession for the past 21 years has been in the form of working in a cardiac medical intensive care unit, hospital setting, nursing home, hospices, home health, clinic, and research.

Nurse Farmer’s first inclination to become a nurse practitioner arose from her caring and compassion for others. A significant part of her character is devoted to caring for others and contributing to their well-being, especially her grandmother.  Christina’s belief is when she is at work and caring for her patients, she feels that she is providing them with a holistic way of care and educating them on how to take care of themselves or their loved ones. Nurses reassure patients that they are cared for and instill trust in them that they are being treated as individuals.

Nurse Farmer enjoys spending time with her family and friends, watching crime shows, and enjoying the outdoors with her family.
